El tema 'Entanglements', junto a Rick Ross, August Alsina evita mencionar directamente a Jada y a su esposo Will Smith, pero sí hace alusiones veladas al hablar de una mujer que cuestiona su "willpower" (su "fuerza de voluntad") y lo tiene "'hastiado' ("jaded") por su belleza, por su reputación realmente sólida", pero añade que aún la ama a pesar del drama.

August Alsina, de 27 años, ha admitido en una entrevista reciente que no ha visto el capítulo de 'Red Table Talk' en el que Jada y Will Smith hablan sobre esta relación pasada, pero aseguraba estar de acuerdo con el uso que ella hizo de la palabra "enredo".

"Si buscas la definición de 'enredo' -comentaba August-, es una relación compleja y difícil. Fue exactamente eso. Creo que fue solo el lenguaje lo que probablemente le llamó la atención a la gente", dijo durante su entrevista a Vulture. "Pero definitivamente tengo que estar de acuerdo con que sea un enredo. Definitivamente fue algo complicado, una dinámica complicada".

En una entrevista de junio para Complex con Angela Yee, el rapero confirmaba los rumores de una supuesta relación extramatrimonial con Jada, lo que provocó que la actriz de 'Girls Trip' hablara de ello en su programa de Facebook.
